"...why the good God had opend up so many choices and made life so strange and diverse."

John Cheever ("Clementina")

Franckly, it is extremly difficult for me to make a list of my favourite books. The problem is: every new book pretends to be the favourite one. Another one: some books, which I liked very much, when I was younger, were not read for years. The last one: I can't explain to myself why I like some books. ...but I'll try...

My favourite poet: without any doubts - Iosif Brodsky (see also: this, this and this). However, recently I read (and listen) more and more Anatoly (George) Gunicky.

The book I like to read for years (and I don't know why), when I don't feel well and wanna relax: "Noon. XXII century" by A. & B. Strugatskie

My favourite Americane writer: Ernest M. Hemingway

The best phylosophers I ever read: Lev Shestov and Nikolai Berdayev

A very important book in my life: Frankl "Man's search for meaning".

The books I liked in my "childhood": "Three musketers", "Master and Margarita", "Monday begins on Saturday". I still like them very much.

It will be better to write this file near my bookshelves... This page will be apdated often, as I get new ideas about myself.
